The above image was previously:
(My assignment was to remove the dock and do something creative with the picture)
I found that whatever I did, the cloning tool made weird patterns, both in the water and with the plants, but mostly the water, so I decided to make this a night scene with fog.
Originally, I was going to have the Flying Dutchman (not Disney's rendition) attack shore, as if to defy the curse or something, but I decided to make it more than one ship attacking, just because I thought it looked better, and don't stare too closely, because they are the same ship.
They are this one:
(Disney's Carribean Cruise Flying Dutchman prop)
The prop from the Disney movie series Pirates of the Carribean. The ship design was inspired by the Vasa, a Swedish warship that sunk, which is funny, because I originally was going to use a picture of the Vasa for my work, but I decided to go with the Disney prop in the end because I couldn't find a picture I could use of the recovered wreckage of the Vasa.
This is a really good take on color manipulation. The foam from the water that meets the bush is a nice touch, and could look cool a little more opaque as well.

I really like the theme you used. The misty looking water and the grayish-blue background gives the image a spooky vibe. And I liked the way you changed opacity of the ships.

think this is great but if you would have extended the mist a little bit and without such a hard edge it would have added the realism it needed to be more believable. easy fix

The decisions you made for this design are great. Your work is on fire... since I am seeing this last... you really have a good grasp on concept and the software. Great job man!
